Devil's Backbone Scenic Lookout

I enjoy depicting the natural environment of my native Texas. My artwork reflects my love of
color and visual response to the graphic nature of organic subjects; succulents, animals, and
landscapes, working in both oil and acrylic mediums as vehicles for expression. Since I was
young I have felt that God created so many amazing images in nature; I strive to paint the
beauty seen around me whether large or small. Painting the Ordinary in a way that the viewer
will see the subject matter to be extraordinary. I have learned courage by stepping out into my
art. It has taught me to take chances and to believe in myself. When I paint is when I feel truly
alive and fulfilled.
