Deer Skull D13

These silver laced head coverings, called a Shaffron in medieval times, are unique to just one artist in the world, Steve Penney. These are NOT like imitators attempt where  stones are glued on the skull and gaps are filled with colored caulk. Only SAH Gallery offers the genuine Steve Penney skulls.

The span of this deer is 20.5" and is inlaid with turquoise and blue color stones. Each stone is thoughtfully selected, wrapped in copper tape and tinted with solder, giving the effect of stain glass. The stones are individually placed following the contour of the skull. Once placed they are bridge soldered to create a unique mask look of the skull.

Every collector should claim that they have a Steve Penney Skull if they are truly looking for only original art.
