I had a photograph of a lovely red pot of flowers on the Abuiqui Inn porch in Abuiqui NM., I first used watercolor on a large piece of Yupo. Watercolor is difficult to use on Yupo because it slides around a lot. After painting it, I used a screen a to grind up pastel colors and dropped them into the color. This added texture to enrich the image. When the painting was to my liking, I sprayed the surface with acrylic to hold the pastel.
