The competition's theme is "Animal Allies" Show us in art form anything that represents an animal. This special exhibition is to benefit Animal Allies of Texas, an animal rescue group (see https://www.animalalliesoftexas.net/). Exhibition will be from April 8th through June 10, 2023.
There will be many activities for the public on April 8th from 2-4 pm including:
- Reception
- Kitten Adoption
- Animal Art Exhibition
- Kids Art Contest with prizes
- Silent Auction with 100% of the proceeds goinbg to Animal Allies for the purchase of a kitten incubator
- Art project kits for purchase with 100% of the proceed going to Animal Allies
- Face Painting with 100% of the proceeds going to Animal Allies
Registration is open and the deadline is March 11. Finalists will be notified by April 1
Each registration gives you up to 3 pieces can be entered. If more than 3 pieces then create another registration for up to the next 3 pieces and so on.
ELIGIBILITY -
All artwork is to be for sale. Due to the nature of children's art education NUDES will not be accepted. During the exhibition SAH Gallery reduces the 40% commission to 30% commission. Pieces will remain on our website for sale after the close of the show for online purchases. Commission returns to the normal 40% at that time. It is up to the artist to inform SAH Gallery to remove pieces from the website, otherwise they remain for purchase.
Pricing should be no more than $5 per square inch for 2D pieces and no more than $4 per in3 for 3D pieces. (Artists new to competitions are recommended to start at $1 per square inch and increase $0.50 increments over time). Pieces overpriced or NFS (Not For Sale) will not be accepted.
All accepted artwork must be presentation ready (ready to hang or display). Accepted entries that are not presentation ready will be charged $15 to bring it up to standard.
Winners and select exhibitors will be showing their art at the Art House Gallery located north west of Dallas in Flower Mound, Texas. The exhibition will take place April 8 through June 10, 2023. Register before March 11.

This exhibit will be available to the public and is guaranteed to be fun, family friendly, and free.
March 11 - Last day to enter competition
- All entries will be notified if their work has been accepted or not by April 1
April 5, 9 am - 7 pm - Drop off accepted work
April 8- Show opens - Show open 2-4 pm, light Hors d’Oeuvres being served. People's Choice Award voting begins.
May 5 - Last day to vote for People's Choice Award
June 10 - End of show
Jun 10 - Artwork is to be removed after 10 am and before 6 pm.
